Κυρία Πρόεδρε της Επιτροπής, κυρία Ούρσουλα Γκέρτρουντ φον ντερ Λάιεν. Επιτέλους, βλέπω ευρωπαϊκή αλληλεγγύη. Απέναντι σε κάθε παραβίαση εθνικού εναέριου χώρου και χωρικών υδάτων και σε κάθε αμφισβήτηση εθνικής κυριαρχίας πρέπει να μας βρίσκει ενωμένους. Γι αυτό χαίρομαι που υπήρξε άμεση αντίδραση από την Κομισιόν. Όμως ελπίζω αυτή η ευαισθησία να μην είναι επιλεκτική. Να σας υπενθυμίσω ότι η Τουκρία έχει παραβιάσει τον εναέριο χώρο της Ελλάδας σε μόλις δύο χρόνια 265 φορές, ενώ τον εναέριο χώρο της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας 2.712 φορές σε τέσσερα χρόνια. Ευρωπαίοι πολίτες σε Κύπρο και Ελλάδα περιμένουν να βρείτε επιτέλους το θάρρος να καταγγείλετε την Τουρκία επιτέλους. Ας τελειώσει η υποκρισία. Δεν υπάρχουν καλές ή κακές παραβιάσεις, δεν υπάρχει καλή ή κακή εισβολή, όπως δεν μπορεί να εφαρμοστεί επιλεκτική εφαρμογή του Διεθνούς Δικαίου. Ας προστατέψουμε ΟΛΑ τα σύνορα της Ευρώπης.
Role of EU policies in shaping the European Sport Model
Η έκθεση είναι θετική και αξίζει τη στήριξή μας. Παρά ταύτα, οφείλω να επισημάνω ότι υπάρχουν σημαντικές προσθήκες που θα έπρεπε να συμπεριληφθούν και τις οποίες εισηγήθηκα με τροπολογίες που δυστυχώς δεν υιοθετήθηκαν στο τελικό κείμενο. Πρώτον, η ανάγκη στήριξης αθλητών που δεν απολαμβάνουν ίσες ευκαιρίες λόγω έλλειψης υποδομών σε υποβαθμισμένες αστικές περιοχές ή σε ορεινές απομακρυσμένες περιοχές. Δεύτερον, η ενίσχυση των διοργανωτών μέσα από στοχευμένα εργαλεία στήριξης και τρίτον, ο τερματισμός της διάκρισης ανάμεσα σε ολυμπιακά και μη ολυμπιακά αθλήματα. Τέλος, δεν μπορεί να περάσει απαρατήρητο το γεγονός ότι η έκθεση δεν αφιερώνει ούτε μία αναφορά σε ένα ζήτημα που βρέθηκε παγκόσμια στο επίκεντρο, τη συμμετοχή τρανσεξουαλ ανδρών σε γυναικεία αθλήματα. Ένα θέμα που οφείλουμε να αντιμετωπίσουμε με σαφήνεια, διότι η αποδοχή τέτοιων περιστατικών όχι μόνο δεν σέβεται την γυναίκα, αλλά υπονομεύει τον δίκαιο και ισότιμο ανταγωνισμό.
